Van Zandt County Historical Commission
The Van Zandt County Historical
Commission was organized on January 19, 1963. This date was proclaimed
"Texas Historical Preservation Day" by then Governor John Connally.
The Van Zandt County Historical Committee is still very active
today. They are responsible for the placement of over 100 historical
markers throughout Van Zandt County.
